It was late at night around ten o’clock when it all clicked. All my thoughts, emotions, my ideas, and my goals made sense. Throughout my high school years, I had always found it difficult to identify what my goals would be in the future and what I would end up doing. However, this night was different. I was working diligently on my topic proposal for ISM, in which I had to finalize my topic of study and the field I would be working in for the entire year. This was a big milestone to reach, as I have always considered many different possibilities for careers that I would do in the future. While researching, there was a particular article focusing on how you can tell if you are capable within the Management of Information Systems. This article provided me with exactly what I needed in order to recognize that this career was for me. Everything within the article provided me with a glimpse of my future and allowed me to analyze if I was a good choice for this job. To no surprise, I was. I was independent, I had communication skills, I was mathematically gifted, and I had a passion for learning. All these skills were ones I possessed, and I could utilize them for my job in the future. This not only helped me feel like I was going on the right path, but it also helped me realize the amount of effort I need to put for the future. And knowing me, I will pursue this and I will put in the necessary amount of effort in order to reach my goal.
