Truth be told, I do not have a strong relationship with stress. Although I do work much faster under pressure, the impact that it makes on my mental and physical health is detrimental. As a result, I big aspect of this week that I focused on improving was how I handled stress. Over the course of this ISM journey, another big aspect of personal improvement that I spent working on was my time management, and while I have been improving dramatically, time management has still made a big effect on my stress. With the big workload that I face weekly, aiming to fix my time management skills should benefit me drastically. And truth be told, that is exactly what it did. Over this week, I had mapped out my schedule to complete all of my necessary assignments on time without stressing over them in the days to follow. In addition to this, I set up a planner of sorts in order to prioritize things that were very important for me to complete. All these setups had made a huge impact on effectively reducing my stress, but another thing that I needed to focus on improving was my ability to stay focused. Although I get my work done before the deadline, I get distracted quite easily and quite often, which is what leads to hours of time spent doing nothing but watching videos or playings games. Because of this, something that I still need to improve on during the next few weeks is my ability to control myself into focusing on working without getting distracted in order to benefit myself in the future. Although this habit of mine will take quite a while to be broken, once it is complete, my ability to finish assignments without worry will ease my stress for the future, something that I desperately need.
