Trial and error was the name of the game. Your effort and practice would expose whether you were prepared for what is to come. “What is to come?” you may ask. Business Symposium. A monumental experience for all students, in which you will be interviewed by a professional. This was the opportunity that you could create connections, gain confidence, and build more experience. It’s frightening, to say the least, but exciting nonetheless. This was the perfect opportunity to expose myself to professionals and develop not only my communication skills but my confidence in actual interviews in the future. Seeing all of these benefits, there was no way I’d lose this opportunity. I needed to do well, and I needed to work towards it. This past week has led up to this moment, with all the practice and perfection I needed. I would practice a question that would be given to me, make mistakes along the way, but focus on fixing them effectively. This cycle would repeat, until the last day of practice. I come ready, dressed professionally, ironed clothing, and tie. I am in a secluded location with no distractions in the background. My eyes are center in front of the camera to clearly see me. Everything was set. The stage was set. I was the presenter, and the professional is my audience. After one week of diligent practice, mistakes, and perfections, I am here ready to present. Ready to show them my performance. Ready to shine again.
